Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MTB DamperLab ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the MTB DamperLab app ("App") and this website. In short: the App has no account system, no backend server, and no analytics or tracking software built into it, so there is essentially nothing for us to collect through the App — your data stays on your device. This website has one place where you can voluntarily send us information: the contact form, covered in section 8 below.

2. Information We Do Not Collect (App)

We do not collect, receive, or have access to your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports, or any preset, setting, or note you create in the App. The App does not require sign-up or login.

3. Information Stored on Your Device (App)

Presets, unit preferences, theme choice, and purchase-entitlement flags are saved locally on your device using standard on-device storage. This data never leaves your device to reach us. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage permanently deletes it, and we have no way to recover it.

4. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment information. Apple and Google collect and process data related to your purchase under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal information from any user regardless of age, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. International Users

Because your App data is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to us, we do not transfer your personal data across borders. If you have questions about data handled by Apple or Google as part of billing, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the App handles data — for example, if we add analytics, crash reporting, or a backend service in a future version — we will update this Privacy Policy and, where the change is material, ask you to review and re-accept it before continuing to use the App. Changes to this website's practices will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

8. Contact Form on This Website

If you use the contact form on this website, we collect the name, email address, and message you type in, and store them in our database (Firebase Firestore) so we can read and reply to your message. That data is not readable from the website itself — only we can access it. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and do not sell it or share it with third parties. We keep contact submissions only as long as needed to handle your request.
